NEWS: People like Muse

An NME online has revealed that people with computers and the urge to vote in online polls believe that Muse’s cover of Nina Simone’s sensual ‘Feeling Good’ is the best cover of all time. It came in ahead of covers of The Beatles’ ‘Twist n Shout’, Jeff Buckley’s ‘Hallelujah’ and Johnny Cash’s ‘Hurt’. ‘Feeeling Good’ was actually a fantastically moody, sweltering release from Muse, and even better there’s not a trace of condescending political commentary. It’s just bawdy, knickerless fun.

Perhaps more amusing are the 10 worst covers of all time. Britney took first prize, for her efforts in covering Joan Jett’s ‘I Love Rock n Roll’. Special mentions also went to Robbie Williams for his take on Blur’s ‘Song 2′ and – mind bogglingly – Celine Dion covering AC/DC’s ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’.

Not as shit as Celine Dion.
