WORLD CUP: England vs Ze Germanz

Thanks to a gritty and determined performance from the England team (and a flash of brilliance from Jermain Defoe)…

…England get to take on arch-nemeses Germany in the next round of World Cup 2010.  In the spirit of keeping some friendly jingoism alive we’ll be showing The World Cup Final from 1966 (naturlich) in the courtyard at Britpop this Saturday night (26th June).

We’ll also be showing the entirety of this goal-frenzied performance from 2001 when England pummeled Germany (5-1) in a World Cup 2002 qualifying match:

Football, it’s coming home…

‘ave it.
