BRITPOP Nineties Night – SATURDAY 5th DECEMBER

britpop_091205_500You’ve probably heard the DEVASTATING news that The Abercrombie Hotel is set to close its doors in January 2010. Like, WTF?

This means that ONLY TWO MORE opportunities remain for you to get your BRITPOP on. Once The Abercrombie closes, Britpop closes too.

On SATURDAY 5th DECEMBER we’re going back to basics to what some might call the “true essence of Britpop”: a NINETIES NIGHT. That means shitloads (4+ hours!) of classics from the best decade ever for indie fans:

Blur, Pulp, Oasis, Manics, Suede, Mansun, Marion, Supergrass, Cast, Gene, Dodgy, My Life Story, Menswear, Echobelly, Elastica, The Verve, Shed Seven, Sleeper, James, The Charlatans, The Auteurs, Ride, Ash, Stone Roses, The Happy Mondays etc.

Joining the BRITPOP DJs this month are SEABAS, ANDREW P STREET and JANE GAZZO (Channel V).

Not only that, but SALLYHEARTSMUSIC will be spinning her favourite PULP and BLUR songs between 8 and 9pm. A whole hour of only PULP and BLUR! You just won’t get this level of love from any other indie night.

Would sir/madam care for cheap drinks served with his/her British indie? Most certainly: $3 CHAMPAGNES and $10 JUGS OF COOPERS until 11pm.

Doors courteously opened at 7pm. FREE ENTRY before 8pm, $10 after ($5 with student ID).
