How can we possibly top that? Easy. This month it’s BRITPOP – THE CURE SPECIAL.
One of the most successful indie bands of ALL GODDAMN TIME. You just can’t go past the majesty of songs like In-Between Days, Primary, Lovesong, Charlotte Sometimes, The Lovecats, Just Like Heaven or the sheer terror of Open, Fascination Street, Want and One Hundred Years. Anyway you slice it, THE CURE f-ing RULE.
With so many killer tunes to choose from, The Britpop DJs will be spinning over one and a half hours of songs by THE CURE – sprinkled like magic dust throughout the night – as well as all your BRITISH INDIE FAVOURITES.
DJs include ‘the Lenny Bruce of Sydney’s music scene’, Mr Andrew P Street as well as Britpop DJs Johnny Darko, Faux Nun, Misc.Disc and Mush.
BUT WAIT, there’s more. We’ll also be launching the new JAMIE T album “Kings and Queens” with an album playback on the night + CD giveaways (courtesy of the wonderful folk at EMI) taking place via this website.
Happy hour 8pm – 10pm: $10 jugs of Coopers and $3 champagnes. Our legendary $10 teapots will be served all night.

As you may be aware, many BRITPOP fans have found themselves in a state of shock this weekend with news that OASIS have split (for good this time). To turn a sad occasion into a joyous one, we’re gonna be opening the Britpop doors an hour early so that we can squeeze in a solid hour of Oasis tunes – played f-ing LOUD – between 8 and 9pm (brought to you by Sydney’s biggest Oasis fan, DJ Mucky Fingers). So come down, grab a $10 jug of Coopers and see that the Gallagher brothers’ legacy lives forever.
